Getting There
This is a self-driving tour.
You will drive your rental car. This is the standard and legal format for surf guiding in Japan. We will accompany you in your car to support you with destination selection and navigation.
Alternatively, meeting directly at the surf spot is also
possible.
Please come by your own transportation (car, taxi, or train + walk).

Day Flow
Meeting & Preparation
Meet at your hotel or the surf spot. Go together to a nearby rental car shop.
Drive to the Coast
You will be the driver - Enjoy the drive to the Chiba or
Shonan area. Navigation by the guide.
Important: You must have a valid International
Driving Permit.
Surf Session
Hit the waves! We'll guide you to the best peaks and offer advice. (Photo shooting available as an add-on)
Lunch (Optional)
Enjoy delicious local food after surfing.
Return
Drive back to Tokyo. Safe travels!
Meet Your Guide
Kosuke Osawa
I started surfing in high school and have been chasing waves for 28 years. During college, I gained experience teaching others and sharing the joy of the ocean. Having lived in the US as a child, I am bilingual and fluent in English.
I have made thousands of day trips from Tokyo to local surf spots, giving me expert knowledge in selecting the best conditions for the day. My surfing journey has taken me across Japan—from Kyushu to Hokkaido—and around the world, including San Francisco, Hawaii's North Shore, Morocco, Indonesia, and Hong Kong.
Surfing has connected me with friends globally, and I look forward to meeting new people and sharing the stoke through this experience.

per person (+¥5,000 for each additional person)

Excludes rental car, fuel, highway tolls, surfboard & wetsuit rental.

Q: Do you provide transportation?
A: No. Transportation is not included. You will drive a rental car or meet at the surf spot.
Q: Can I meet at the beach?
A: Yes. Meeting directly at the surf spot is totally fine.
Q: Is this a surf lesson?
A: No. This is a guided experience for intermediate surfers. However, if you are interested in lessons, please contact us to discuss options.
